ETERNAL ENEMIES LION AND HYENA

Lions (Panthera leo) and Hyenas (Crocuta crocuta) are forever linked in an eternal battle – “Eternal enemies”.

With these two bronzes of Lion and Hyena, I tried to tell the story of the ancient rivalry between two of Africa’s eternal enemies, I decided to put them together as part of the Big Five set of Bronzes. This rivalry reaches far beyond the competition for food. For ages lion and hyenas are linked in a never ending battle with each other –  a battle that ends in death.

The base is Superwood with a black stain.
